In the first half of 2016, U.S. truck capacity was plentiful. This is expected to change in the second half of the year, with more pressure amounting on shipping rates.

“…when it comes to capacity, truck numbers don’t tell the whole story. Warehouses have only so many doors and ways they can handle an influx of freight. Increasingly, freight volumes are volatile and hard to forecast, and that’s making it more difficult to schedule, receive and load trucks.”
